Located in Flaming Geyser State Park, near Auburn, is a 1.7-mile hiking trail. The easy to moderate trail is great for beginners and experienced hikers. The trail is open daily from 8:00 a.m. till dawn. There is an elevation gain of 350 feet and is enjoyable with opportunities to enjoy wildlife and beautiful scenery all around you.

 

Interurban Trail

The Interurban Trail is one of four trails that run throughout Auburn’s parks. Four and a half miles of the Interurban Trail is in Auburn, but the trail is an impressive 17 miles. The trail also runs through Tukwila, Kent, Pacific, and Algona. The section in Auburn takes you through the industrial district by some of the largest employers in the area. You can reach the trail at Main St., 15th St. SW, The Outlet Collection, and 37th St. NW and if you jog the length of this trail, you will run past Boeing, GSA, and the Super Mall.

 

White River Trail

White River Trail is at Roegner Park. It runs along the White River 2.25 miles to the Game Farm Wilderness Park. The trail also extends through the park where there are several other trails as well if you would like to continue jogging. If you start at the beginning of the trail and turn around at the wilderness park, your completed run will be right at 4.5 miles.

 

Game Farm Park

Game Farm Park offers joggers 3 miles of trails with a 1-mile paved jogging trail. This is a great place if you are just starting to jog. You are able to test your endurance on the 1-mile trail where you can easily get back to your vehicle or take a break at the park. This is a very good idea for new runners concerned about becoming tired on the trail.

 

Les Gove Park

Last, but not least, Les Gove Park is one of the most beautiful and exciting places for a jog. The park allows visitors to take a jog through a half mile trail which winds through over 100 beautiful Japanese Flowering Cherry Trees. The trail connects to the Rec Building, Park Admission Building, Senior Activity Center, the White River Valley Museum, and passes the Rotary Spray Park where you can hear happy children giggle as they run through the splash park.
