While it looks like a scaled down version of the CR-V, the all-new Honda HR-V is actually a crossover based on the Fit hatchback. Find ample storage and passenger space inside the HR-V, along with excellent fuel economy. Stop in and test drive the 2016 HR-V today and see if it’s the right fit for you!
Under the Hood
The 2016 HR-V runs on a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that can make up to 138 horsepower and 127 pound-feet of torque. Choose between a six-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission. The standard drivetrain is front-wheel-drive, and the only option on the manual, or there is the option for all-wheel-drive with the CVT. The all-wheel-drive operates by having the SUV work in front-wheel-drive mode until slippage is sensed, then power is sent to the rear wheels for maintained traction. With the manual transmission, the HR-V achieves 28 miles per gallon combined city and highway driving. With FWD and the CVT it gets 31 mpg combined, and 29 mpg combined with AWD and a CVT.
Inside the 2016 HR-V
Behind the rear seats of the 2016 HR-V you will find 24 cubic feet of storage space, which is ideal for groceries or luggage. Fold the rear seats down, and it opens to a generous 59 cubic feet. If you need to transport long items like skis or a floor lamp, the front passenger seat folds almost completely flat. For items that must stand upright, like a houseplant, the rear seat cushions fold up from the floor. The HR-V is ideal for those who need and appreciate versatility in a crossover SUV.
