Channing Tatum’s Ride in the ‘Fastest Seat in Sports’
Honda’s “Fastest Seat in Sports” is running on its 9th consecutive year and will be leading every single IndyCar race this season. The “Fastest Seat in Sports” invites celebrities and industry influencers to sit passenger in a Honda-powered two-seat Indy car with the legendary Mario Andretti and Arie Luyendyk.
On April 22nd Channing Tatum joined Honda for IndyCar’s Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park. He was accompanied by Arie Luyendyk as they lead the start of the event. He was also named Grand Marshall of the event and given the privilege of giving the traditional commencement announcement from the passenger seat of the Honda IndyCar with a “Drivers, start your engines!”

Honda Motorsports went into the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama coming off a dominant victory by Alexander Rossi for Honda at the 2018 Long Beach Grand Prix, leading 71 of 85 laps. Honda took two podium finishes during the Grand Prix of Alabama with Ryan Hunter-Reay and James Hinchcliffe getting their best finishes this year taking second and third place respectively.
