Movies off Main Returns to Sumner this August

Looking for something for the family to do on Friday nights this August? Check out Movies off Main in downtown Sumner! It’s a free local event at Heritage Park with outdoor movie showings at dusk. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to the lawn to enjoy a great selection of family-friendly flicks on the big screen. If you’re in the mood for snacks, the Sumner High Wrestling Team will operate a concession stand to support their team. Movies off Main is an annual tradition in Sumner that you won’t want to miss. The schedule of movies includes fan-favorite picks that are appropriate for almost any age, and it’s a great way to relax on a warm summer evening in historic downtown Sumner.

• August 3: Beethoven
  “A family adopts a stray St. Bernard puppy, which grows up to be an obstreperous, slobbering canine, and the target of an evil, animal-research scientist.”

In 2017, Music off Main provided screenings of RV, American Graffiti, Secret Life of Pets, and Up. Movies off Main has established itself as a family-friendly tradition for members of the Sumner community. It’s a great way to get out of the house and send off the summer. Movies off Main joins its sister event Music off Main as one of the many local events that the City of Sumner organizes for residents of the surrounding area. Together, Music off Main and Movies off Main give community members a free event to attend every Friday night from the beginning of July to the end of August. Movies off Main will occur each Friday in August, with showings beginning at dusk (around 8 PM). Heritage Park is in downtown Sumner at 914 Kincaid Ave, Sumner, WA 98390 where Main St, Cherry Ave, and Kincaid Ave intersect. Parking is available on surrounding side streets.
