Music Off Main Returns to Sumner this July

It’s almost show time! Music Off Main returns to Heritage Park in downtown Sumner on Friday, July 6, 2018. Each Friday in July at 6:30 PM, the Sumner Arts Commission invites community members to watch local bands perform in concert. The best part of Music Off Main is that it’s free for everyone! Visitors can experience live music without the expense of tickets or the hassle of travelling far from home. Plus, the whole family can attend for some quality time together. Attendees are invited to bring blankets, chairs, and food to the lawn at Heritage Park to enjoy the performances. It’s a great way to spend a warm summer evening while taking advantage of everything that historic downtown Sumner has to offer.
Lineup
This year’s lineup is sure to entertain everyone that attends. On July 6, the Air National Guard Band of the West Coast will provide a “special appearance to continue the Independence Day celebration.” On July 13, Lady Carter & The Gents will bring “acoustic country/rock with soul” to Sumner. North of 50 will be there on July 20, with “classic rock, oldies, blues, [and] country, from ZZ Top to Blondie.” Finally, on July 27, The Shy Boys will perform “covers of your favorite hits from The Beach Boys to The Police.” Members of the local community won’t want to miss any of the performances at this year’s Music Off Main.
Past Performances
Music Off Main has had a great history of performances as well. The BGP, Colt & the Peacemakers, Folsom Prism, The Fundaddicts, The Great Pretenders, Puyallup Valley Community Band, and Act 1’s USO Show are just a selection of the acts that have performed at the event. With a spectacular venue, great music, and the company of community members, Music Off Main has become a treasured tradition in the Sumner area.
