In 2017, Honda made major changes to the fuel efficiency of its top two vehicles. The popular Honda Civic and CR-V were both given improvements to their fuel efficiency. Both models were given an option for a 1.5-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine that has less carbon emission than the standard 2.0-liter. Both engines have outstanding fuel efficiency with the 1.5-liter producing 31city/42highway MPG, and the 2.0-liter producing 31/41 MPG when equipped with a CVT transmission. Fuel efficiency is not just good for your wallet, it is good for the environment. The less fuel we burn the less carbon is emitted into our atmosphere.

Honda has also been recognized by U.S. News & World Report for having one of America’s best hybrid vehicles. The Honda Accord was recognized as the 6^th best hybrid vehicle in America. Honda also introduced its Clarity series in late 2016. This fully electric vehicle sets the path for Honda’s future as they move toward lower emission, and 0 emission, vehicles. In 2017 more than 150 U.S dealers received a Honda Environmental Award and combined for an annual reduction of 19,000 tons of C0₂.
