What’s new for 2023?
Perhaps one of the most exciting updates for the 2023 model year is the updated powertrain sitting beneath its hood. Powering the new 2023 HR-V is a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine capable of generating 158 horsepower alongside 138 pound-feet of torque, which is an improvement of 0.2 liters, 17 horsepower and 11 lb-ft. of torque. This is not the only big change for the HR-V, though. The crossover features completely new architecture as it follows suit with the 11th-generation Civic and is built on the new Honda global architecture. This has brought with it an extended wheelbase and wider tracks, among other big improvements.
