What Engines Are In The 2023 Honda Accord?

All Accord models can be had with either a 1.5-liter Turbocharged Direct-Injected VTEC 4-cylinder that produces 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. If you opt for the Accord Hybrid, you will get a 2.0-liter Atkinson Direct-Injected 4-cylinder that has a total battery and gas output of 181 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque.

The 2023 Honda Accord comes in LX, EX, Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring trim levels.

With its 1.5-liter engine, the Accord can achieve up to 29 mpg city and 37 mpg highway, respectively. This gives it a total driving range of 474 miles and an estimated annual fuel cost of $1,800. Hybrid models can get up to 51 mpg city and 44 mpg highway, respectively, with a total driving range of 614 miles. The EPA estimates the yearly fuel costs to be 1,200.

The International Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) has awarded the 2023 Honda Accord with its coveted Top Safety Pick+ classification. J.D. Power and Associates gives the Accord an 83 out of 100 score for Quality and Reliability according to customer surveys. 

Every Accord model comes standard with Honda Sensing, which features some of the best safety features. Standard on all trim levels are: Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™), Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW),  Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Traffic Sign Recognition System (TSR), Traffic Jam Assist, and Auto High-Beam Headlights. 

Some safety features are available on higher trim models, including: Blind Spot Information System (BSI), Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM), Low Speed Braking Control, and Parking Sensors (4 Front & 4 Rear).

The 2023 Accord LX has a total EPA passenger volume of 105.7 cu.ft. EX trim and above have 102.8 cu.ft. Every Accord has 16.7 cu.ft. of trunk space. 

Passengers have a total of 39.5 inches of front headroom and 37.3 inches of rear headroom. Models with a moonroof have 37.5 inches front and 37.2 inches rear headroom. Both front and rear occupants will love the vast amount of legroom, with 42.3 and 40.8 inches of front and rear legroom. Front and rear passengers will have 57.9 and 56.5 inches of shoulder room, plus 55.4 inches of hip room front and rear.

Every Accord model comes standard with a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. LX and EX trim levels feature a 7-inch multimedia touchscreen display, while Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring models have a standard 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen display. Touring models also feature a 6-inch Head-Up Display system. All models have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard on Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring trim levels.

The front of the car has one 3-amp USB-C charging port alongside a 3-amp USB-C smartphone audio interface. EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring models have two 3-amp USB-C charging ports for rear passengers. Touring trims also get a Qi wireless phone charger under the front USB-C Ports.
